Piazza Umberto I in Pisticci provided the backdrop for the presentation of the “MATERAMARE” project, an initiative that promises to enrich the Region’s tourist offerings, combining the beauty of the city of Matera with the charm of the sea and the Lucanian hinterland. The speakers included: Giuseppe Lalinga, Alessandro Martemucci marketing manager, and the Sassi councillor Lucia Gaudiano. During the event, Alessandro Martemucci illustrated the main objective of the project: to develop tourist routes that start from the Capital and wind their way to the Ionian Coast and vice versa. Lucia Gaudiano brought greetings from the Mayor of Matera and stated that Matera will soon become a partner in the project. Giuseppe Lalinga outlined the development phases of the project. The meeting recorded a significant turnout of the public, a tangible sign of the interest and curiosity surrounding this new proposal. “Between Matera and the Sea: rural wine experience” is not just a geographical journey, but a sensory experience that enhances local businesses and rural traditions of the territory, inviting visitors to discover the wonders of unique places.
